Oil filter

I think somewhere here on forum a member recommended a Mann filter ref HU 718/5X. My last filter branded genuine LR for my tdv8 was marked Fomoco? The 2012 4.4 is a ford unit so that made sense and went in. The filter with the LR label however is priced up a fair bit though and the Mann item appears more substantial. Can anyone confirm this as I cannot know find the posting I saw?

Thanks
Dave

If it helps, I’ve purchased Mahle and I think also Mann filters in the past from this site sponsor:

Thanks for that Mike and I have made a note of the firm. Just looking thru ebay today and saw a LR022896 listed at £29 something which is OTT for sure. £17 seems to be around the right price but always good to find alternatives if that is over priced also, as JLR don't actually make them anyway. I'll let you know of I find a FOMOCo out there as an alternative and price.

Thanks again
Dave
