I bought my FFRR secondhand from a main dealer and had the orange engine light come up within two days. I was told it was an oil leak which had saturated the turbo pressure solenoid and harness. Afterwards I was told the turbo and solenoid had been replaced. That was 18 months ago but just had it happen again recently and another turbo was fitted as well as the solenoid. All done under warranty but worrying none the less. I have been investigating the cost of warranties from LR and was told yesterday that a one year extended warranty would cost £1055 for the warranty or £1255 incl LR Assist. I think the LR Assist is worth it as it gives you priority on loan cars and repairs. |

LR diagnosed the problem for me on both occasions so I had no input. The car never seemed to have an issue, just a warning light. |

Call me a skeptic but I personally think it’s a revenue approach to diagnosis.....

I know exactly what’s causing that (and will continue to cause that, until it’s fixed properly!). Get it fixed under warranty as the full fix will be more expensive than a new turbo! |
