Exactly the point... If you order from that advert do you get Specifications: Ford WSS-M2C934-B; ACEA C1or the one pictured? And there seams to be the big issue!

There are lots of speculation this is the issue with 3.0DSV6 engines failing! As most oils WONT mix so, you fill up with what you think is the correct oil and it creates coagulation! This can then block oil journals!!! & voila! The failure is only a matter of time!!! Whistle Banging Head Thud

What about this Millers oil? Always heard good things about their oil. This seems to meet the specification and only £70 for a full service kit (10 litres) With the 15% BF deal that will be £60, enough for my next service and a litre to keep for top ups Smile

Rolling with laughter Richard, great minds think alike, we must have been reading Shells website at the same time.

I put in my reg number on their oil check page and got the following results....

Good one Mike Rolling with laughter

Comes up the same with mine.

I've asked Shell about the photo on their website being of a AR-L but the spec being AF-L. Will let you know if I get a reply. Cheers

Here's the data sheet for the Millers. Says it meets the spec M2C934-B

so would think it's OK. Cheers

Thanks Richard. I might just get some of that ordered. Just hope my indy of choice is ok with me supplying the oil for my service in March (probably going to give Farriers in Leicestershire a go) If they say no I'll just have a 10 litre supply of top-up oil Smile

M Thumbs Up

Not fancy doing the oil change yourself or do you have a warranty that requires you to have the FF serviced? Cheers

I just want to keep the Service History intact. It is going into JGS next week to have the gearbox flush along with Trans and Diff oil change. Everything is fine now, I just like to have the history / proof that of maintenance.

Good idea on the history etc.

Would you be good enough to PM the 'box and trans/diff costs? Looking to do mine. Cheers

That is a very good price for an 8 speed gearbox flush.... just check that they are using ZF Lifeguard8 oil.
