as Alistair says the L405 has a wading depth of 900mm so he could have got across....the 'landrover experience' would have taught him that...

LRE is one thing - you know the course has been extensively tested & they won't have you do anything where success is even questionable.

A 3ft wading depth is all very well........assuming there is a road under the water and it hasn't been washed away!

That ford is at the back of Sarehole Mill (home to ‘The Hobbit’ and where Tolkien once lived) and also my playground when I was a kid. As stated above, the RR would have got through there no problem. Had they had the driving experience then we’d be talking about the virtues of RR’s not flooded engines etc! |
