MY2011 vs MY2012

Hi all,

I’ve tried searching but can’t find what I’m after - could someone steer me towards any significant differences between the MY2011 FF and MY2012 please?

Thanks a million for your help Smile

Neil

in simple terms:
- spec (options included vs extra) varied quite a bit
- cosmetically black infill plastic colour inside headlights plus other bits like grille surround (MY11 is grey) giving the 2012 front a blacker look. Also door cards have Range Rover lettering inlaid in metal within the piano black sections. Cheers, Greg

A late built 2011 has a lot of the same standard spec as 2012 rear lights front lights interior a little different as said door cards bu more down to Vogue, SE or Autobiography and what they paid for as an extra when car was orderd?

The spec of 2011 and 2012 L322 models seems very random and even varies within model type.
You need to prepare a list of options and tick them off as you view any potential purchase.
My 2011 VSE has a single view screen, but most 2012 models seem to have dual-view.
My 2011 has a fan unit fitted to the battery control unit, but 2012 models don’t have one fitted.
The list goes on.....

V reg 2.5td P38 Rioja red 1999- 2006
53 reg td6 Vogue Oslo blue 2006- 2015
11 reg 4.4 TdV8 Vogue SE. Baltic blue 2015- date.

Wow - had a feeling this wasn't a straight forward question! The TV variant is especially random - I was under the impression this was standard, even my old 2010 FF had it...

My research continues - who wants to work on a Friday anyway?!

Thanks for the replies guys.

Indeed; MY2012 like all model years started late 2011

Confused yet?

. Cheers, Greg

Other options to check that vary model to model...
Addapaptive cruise control.
Heated and cooled front seats.
Headlights
Sound system.

England 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I have a 2012 MY registered in March 2012, its a vogue model but has :
Adaptive cruise
Heated and Cooled front seats
A thermal windscreen (in additional to normal heated screen)
A single view TV
Auto dim/dip mirrors
So actually very close to a 2011 Vogue SE spec

The build sheet seems to say it was ordered with a "special value pack e" what ever that was.

I think the trick is to ignore model and just see what its actually got fitted.

Roger

Yes just been through this myself, did quite a bit of research and my
main finding was there seems to be little consistency! Main thing I found was the colour coding. IMO it does look a lot better, however, it’s easily something you can have done so I wouldn’t use that as a reason to only consider MY12 cars.

Yes exactly, that’s the optional design pack rear bumper with exhaust trims. The full
Kit comes with a different lower front bumper section and grill, along with some subtle
Side extensions...... oh and a different style 20” wheel

My 2012 MY Vogue had normal single view TV, but SE leather and heated/ cooled seats. As stated just a spec thing and how much the original owner wanted to spend. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Past: TDV8(4.4) Vogue

Definitely very confusing.

I have a late 2012 Westminster, which I compared with an apparently identical car.

Mine has the DVD (useless to me) and deployable side steps (useful and cool) - the other one had neither... An early 2012 model, albeit same colour.

The obvious missing 'toy' is the adaptive cruise, which I would like to have.

There are loads out there, however I bought mine from a LR Dealer with a cracking warranty, which has paid off.

One turbo, key and a few other bits agreed or under negotiation.

I would definitely recommend a good warranty. A purchase saving may look ok, however there are lots to go wrong on these beasts.
