He currently still owns it, turns out it’s proving more reliable than the BMW he bought to replace it. In fairness he doesn’t claim to be a mechanic nor does he advise you follow what he does. At least he’s having a go and hopefully is giving others the confidence to have a go at some simple jobs themselves. I think the best advert is that his FFRR hasn’t needed any major work whereas his BMW has been issue after issue |

And thakfully The BMW M57 in the TD6 does not have the chocolate rear timing chain like in his later 330d. 2007 TDV8 VSE
