Severe loss of power

On 3 occassions now I have had a severe loss of power, the engine judders and feels like it is not running on all cylinders and is about to stall. Happens with cold and fully warmed up engine, usually at below 30mph. No warning lights or gongs just the car slows to a crawl and "kangeroos" for 5-10sec and then off it goes again as if nothing has happened. It's been to the local dealer who can find nothing wrong and there are no faults logged in the ECU. It did it again this weekend. I haven't misfuelled it. Anybody any ideas? 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

cant help with a diagnosis tim but its worth while having some kind of video recording device handy when you journey so that you get 'proof' of whats happening..good job its under warranty though.. ... - .- -.

I wondered if it might be something to do with the Diesel Particulate Filters (if the car has them!) even though my car rarely does much stop/start city driving (certainly not enough to clog up the DPF) and it is going through a check cycle. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Have had exactly the same problem...told Stratstone about it when the car was in for its first service 2 weeks ago they say that nothing showed up during the diagnostic check and as far as they are concerned there isn't a problem!!!! Shocked

Sounds like the same problem i had which turned out to be a fuelling issue. I changed both the secondary fuel pump and also the fuel filter and it seems to have solved the problem for now.

Jee the car is only just a year/7600 miles old, I hope it isn't a fuel pump problem on so young a car 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Tim I had a similar thing on my TD6, and that was the auxiliary fuel pump. Discovery 4 HSE

Seem to be getting the same with my TD6 only happened today for the first time but now doing it all the time.

Happens mainly when over 35000 revs. RRUK does this sound like the problem you had with your TD6? will be getting it into a specialist next week but is they anyway for me to check this first?
