Any 2nd hand self propelled Honda from the Bay will be expensive but worth the premium. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

I’ve had the same Hayter since we moved into our current house over 27 years ago. It’s only ever been serviced a couple of times in that period and appears to be indestructible. It will probably outlive me. 2019 L405 SDV8 Autobiography

The novelty of doing that wears off quickly enough and it usually gets forgotten about long before the end of the first season! ![]() |

I have had an expensive (circa £1,000) Honda self propelled lawnmower and was very unimpressed with its ability to propel itself. It went back a few times under warranty but I gave up on it and bought a Husquvarna self propelled. Half the price and much better. |

Depending on how big your lawn is, get a robotic mower

This Year I bit the bullet and decided to get rid of my two stroke stuff and buy into a good 48v cordless and have to say it's brilliant. No more spending hours a month 'fettlin' trying to get stuff started.

I have one of these. Branded as a Mountfield, which used to be a good brand. The Briggs and Stratton branded engine needed a new carb due to a known manufacturing fault within 2 years - not covered under warranty. Other than that it's been ok, but the deck has rotted through and of course that part is obsolete. So, I'm in the same boat. Was thinking of a 2nd hand Honda. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE |

Hayter here, it seems to be bullet proof and has only had new blades / sharpened annually. |

Just over half an acre of lawn but to be fair its the gardener who uses it think it will have to be the Hayter as SWMBO wants stripes in the grass ffs |
