With the new ios and Apple Carplay set up, I have noticed there are now more apps on the screen ( Settings for example), this has meant that some of the apps I use regularly are now on a second page even though on my phone they are still on my main page. If I move them around they still stay on the second page on the car.

Any ideas how to move the apps on the car screen? All LR cars from 1984

While the phone is connected to the car and CarPlay is on, go to settings then general then CarPlay on your phone. Towards the bottom you will see a list of the apps that work with CarPlay. Move the most frequently used apps towards the top of the list by dragging the right hand side of the individual item in the list. The ones towards the top of the list will be on the first page of the CarPlay screen. ————————————

Brilliant thanks very much but that's changed too now since the new ios update, that's why I couldn't find them Banging Head

The apps are only accessed by pressing "Settings/General/CarPlay/Range Rover/Customise" and then the list is there. Don't remember doing that before, more as you say, they were at the bottom of the Carplay page. Anyway all sorted so many thanks!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up All LR cars from 1984

Romania 2019 Range Rover Vogue 2.0 PHEV Santorini Black

Went yesterday to the dealer with my Range Rover Vogue P400e MY2019 for service campaigns N356 and N380. ICTP version S19B_19.40.4-436082 was installed. SOTA and WiFi were enabled, but CarPlay cannot be installed, they say because I have no SIM slot, just the 2 USB slots! Why is the SIM needed to mirror a phone is beyond me...

I didn’t know they were available WITHOUT a SIM slot. Which market was your vehicle supplied for? And was CarPlay on the options list at the time? (As I think CarPlay was only standard from MY2019.5). It may be worth contacting LR directly.

Romania. April 2019. List of standard options stated InControl Apps (not present), Pro Services(?), WiFi Hotspot, etc... Dealer said CarPlay will be installed as soon as it's available. Now it's available, but the car doesn't qualify!

I rented a lot of cars though (including a Fiat 500!), that had CarPlay and no SIM slot or mobile data feature whatsoever... The whole purpose of CarPlay is to display and use your iPhone on the car's MMI! Why would a SIM slot be required?

The only reply I ever got from JLR was from a lady that said she is really sorry and she understands how frustrating it can be when things do not match your expectations...
