Park Heating

Just looked through my build sheet using vindercodz & saw this under spec codes:
Park Heating - Park Heating With Remote Control [043AV];

a] I haven't got a clue if I have it
b] I wasn't given a separate 'fob' just two original clumsy keys
c] What do I do next

Would appreciate your thoughts as usual. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Fox,

Have a look in the infotainment for timed climate -- you should be able to set times from the screen, also look in the rear right cubby box, you should see a box (slightly bigger than a fag packet) with Webasto Telestart written on it, though the label may be on the reverse of the box Sad Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

You should hear a whine from the front nearside wheel arch and a ticking in the rear under the car when you first start on a morning when it's coldish. (below 16C istr). If you stop the car's engine shortly after that you will hear a winding down whine in the FNS arch. And don't worry if you see a bit of smoke Shocked wandering around under there or in the engine bay. It can do that sometimes.

Pgge 60-63 of the Owners Manual for operation and there's a full description in the workshop manual in the W/iki if you download it. (Climate/Auxilliary heating)

Follow the instructions in the OM and you'll find a time programming section. As to a new remote, then you can get these from someone selling a spare on here ocaisionally, perhaps Dan at Duckworths has one or ebay if you know the correct unit (T90 or T91 not T**R I think)

The remote lets you start the FBH from your house/work before you get in and gets the car warmed inside in time to get in. Smile

Come back with any further questions. Cheers
Richard

It's amazing what you can find if only you look! Razz
Mitigating circumstances m'lud, as I've only had the fattie for a month or two & just back off a three week holiday so I haven't really had too much time to get acquainted properly.
So, I had a look in the boot & there she was, so I'm assuming all I need to do is either use the infotainment [which I've found] or buy a fob? The telestart says T91R which is then hooked up to the 'fuba' matchbox size box.
When looking through the forum on telestarts, I got the impression that the T91R was for the L405 not the L332? T90/91 was what I needed, and also got the impression that the 'new fob' would have to be coded?
I haven't got a BTIId tool yet, I'll come to that on a separate thread.

Interesting on the T91R you have. Mine is a T91 but the car is an early 11MY so perhaps they changed the receiver on later ones. Perhaps someone will be along to give us an explanation.

The new fob should be capable of being paired with the Telestart unit without a visit to the dealer or a coder. As I suggest read the workshop manual, it's in the section

WM/Climate/auxilliary heating/remote pairing.

Easy to do, if I can it must be. Confused Cheers

Bradders: Looking on the 'wiki' it appears a simple process of pairing the fob to the car, seems simple enough once I get a fob [just waiting for Dan to come back with a price].
Quite why the fob hasn't been handed down from owner to owner is weird, assuming of course it came with the vehicle.

Thanks Martin on the Eberspacher piece [had an Eberspacher on my Scania donkeys years ago, great piece of kit!]. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Be careful of which remote, my 2011 MY (made in March) has the same receive and I spent a while trying to get a remote to Pair. I think the remote changed as well as the receiver. Interested to see if Dan can source the correct one as I sent mine back to the ebay supplier. There are a number of threads covering this

As much as I'd like to buy one from Dan & help the site supporters, it isn't viable money wise.
Have found a couple on fleabay, both say T91R which matches the gismo in the boot. Found the wiki pairing method so I'll buy one of these & just see.
Mines a late late '12 plate, guessing one of the last, so it may have the later RRS gismo or more probable, what was left in the parts bin before the L405's started using Eberspacer........just guessing? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I think I tried with the T91R remote which wouldn't pair with my 12MY. Let us know if you get it to pair.

Slightly disappointed today!
FBH fob arrived today, followed the Wiki process about a dozen times & nowt!
Fuse 16 out.......fuse 16 in........press 'Off' for 3 secs.........flashing red light
Press the 'off' button......red flashing light
Press 'fan/heat' button......flashing green light
I've looked through most of the 'FBH' posts & some say the fob should have 'On & Off' not 'On & fan' like mine has.
The guy I bought this from said he'd bought it for his MY RRS & it wasn't the right one 'probably for the older model' which made me think it's for my '12 Westminster.
Am I doing something obviously wrong? Photo's of what I have:

looks like you ended up where I got to. I even tried pulling the power cable on the transceiver and still no luck. I suspect even though its a 91r transceiver you need a 91 remote which seem harder to get hold of. Perhaps someone with a 12MY and a remote that works can post a picture of what they have got.
