Had the above warning come up whilst driving at 50 MPH on cruise control. Managed to get where I wanted eventually however on the return trip it happened again. Called the Land Rover assist who arrange for the technician to meet me at my house about 2 hours later.

He opened the bonnet removed the engine cover and removed the MAP sensor. He said it was quite common. he showed me the sensor which had a thick layer of soot on it, about 3mm. He cleaned it with brake and clutch cleaner and replaced it, he put it on the computer and cleared the fault message and all good.

Took about 10 minutes so may get someone out of trouble if they have this issue? 2015 Range Rover VSE 4.4 SDV8. 1998 BMW 840 Sport, 2008 Aston Martin DB9

on this, I'm a little confused, I thought a MAP (some cars used a MAF) sensor was the thing that sits usually just after the air filter on the intake to measure air pressure / flow ??

Indeed there are two (one for each air box) where I would expect them to be on the RR....so what does this measure that gets sooooo sooted up ? - clearly nothing to do with air intake, so I assume some reason the ecu needs to measure recirculation pressure for exhaust/ oil blow by for emissions?

I Got the restricted performance again so called Land Rover assist who said that it may be a turbo actuator issue.

Probably not a turbo actuator Terry, could be a loose or split hose.
The error code sounds same as mine, something like 'loss of turbo pressure'
Have a check around your hoses?

It's in the dealers at the moment so will see what they come up with. Said they would get back to me in 48 hours which was up today so I will call tomorrow.

They have however done a free safety check on the car and sent me a video. They are suggesting that I change the front tyres with nearly 4mm of tread on them.  2015 Range Rover VSE 4.4 SDV8. 1998 BMW 840 Sport, 2008 Aston Martin DB9
