Once the liquid has been drained, refit the upper tube as shown in the photo (with the new o-ring)

tighten the collar, with the lower tube disconnected, and insert a drain extension in it (white tube)

Top up with about 3 liters and start the engine.

Thanks for the write-up and pictures. I am sure this will be of help to anyone doing a fluid change who wants to get the old oil out of the torque converter via the cooler lines. 2007 TDV8 VSE
