I like it and was sent a build configurator by my local LR dealership.

Mine came in at £63,750.....🤨

Hmmmmm......That’s Range Rover Sport territory.

85 ECUs is worrying, Can they make them all understand each other at the same time?
They seem to have had problems with this in the past.
Maybe auto updates will help.

Does sound like an opportunity for hackers though.

It's what the Discovery 5 should have been

The 110 X starts at £78,800 though

Lots of people have been speccing them on the Defender site and many have come in at well over £80k. I think the 'winner' got to £102k!

Yup Looks very good... only a little sorry it’s built in Slovakia & the company didn’t want to create a new plant in the U.K. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

Well, you can't get your arms through the panel gaps, it's unlikely to shake your teeth out or handle like a boat and it probably doesn't leak, oh and you might be able to hear yourself think on the motorway. How can it possibly be a Defender?

Many traditionalists won't like it, but then they were never going to. Given that LR were on a hiding to nothing in 'replacing' such an icon, I think they've done a pretty damn good job, will await the road tests. Drives:

Undecided. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.

It certainly looks like it could be a welcome return to form but, for that kind of money, I’d have to really, really want one to justify it - and I don’t.

To put the cost into perspective, a basic 110 with a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine and a light garnish of essential extras is the same price as a 2 year old Fatty SDV8 AB, with only 20,000 miles on it. At that point, it’s a no brainer! Shocked

PS: it’s supposed to be a Defender and there’s only one sold “colour” - white Sad The only green is a light metallic shade that wouldn’t have looked out of place on a dealer special edition Austin Metro. Like the steel wheels though Thumbs Up

No sign of a pickup ? - big trick missed there...

Who is this car for ? Farmers ? Expeditioners ? I'm not so sure.... .

Not sure you'll see too many of these as genuine farm vehicles. The 110 looks better to me but I always did prefer the longer wheel base on the original. Clearly aimed at a very different market to the old version, far less truck like. Unlikely to be something I'll be buying in the short term, wonder what they'll be like as a 10+ year old used buy in the future?

Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh at some point. RR Vogue TDV8 Grey/Black
