So I know how to check the engine oil level ... the issue is which reading do I believe lol.

So get in my car after work cars been sat for hours. Check the level and it’s one bar above half way mark.

Go completely out of the menu and go back into it and check again same level go back out again and go for one more check and the level is now one mark down from full up. Now the level seems to stay at this reading if I go out and do numerous re checks. This has happened a few times. What reading do you believe lol? Regards

Check it cold in the morning before start up. Should be just above mid line. Check it over a few mornings readings. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

It can take up to 20 sec. for reading to stabilize, so wait for the final reading.

Just wanted to add to this as I completely overlooked it.
And it may help someone else lol.

Manual does state for petrol and 4.4D models engine oil must be checked at working temperature so hot. Regards
