Im getting between 29 and 40 mpg in a 2015 4.4. We have a new dual carriageway on my commute and the speed limit is 60 mph ( ish ) 80 kph and i get 42 mpg on that but drops to 40 mpg on the last 8 kilometers as it's a built up area. I've driven both the 3.0 and have a 4.4 and think the 3.0 is a great engine in the L405. My preference was for the 4.4. I had the 4.4 in my L322 and it was remapped which made it a much nicer / more responsive to drive and i will have the L405 remapped soon. 2015 4.4 AB

I’m getting exactly the same fuel economy out of my SDV8 as I was out of my SDV6 Disco 4.

The v6 3.0L doesn’t have the active suspension (less lean in the corners) |

A massive plus for the 3.0 is the weight over the front axle! When pressing on, the 4.4 tends to wash wide more than the 3.0 due to the extra weight... Another factor is the engine noise and vibration heard in the 4.4 is much more muted in the 3.0...👍 |

If it's an "Approved" car from a LR dealer, bear in mind that the "Approved" warranty will be cut, from 2 years to 1, for any cars sold after the end of August 2019 |

I can only speak as I find; I have not had a V8 4.4 L405, in fact this is my first such car, though I've owned quite a few LR products previously, detailed below.

Do you mean why have they done it? Several possible reasons, but I have no idea which one it is |

I'm sure its because LR realise their cars are sooooo reliable that none-one ever needs the second year so it was pointless offering it.

If my experience of my last ever visit the my nearest dealer, where they tried everything to flog me a used car, rather than the new one I was asking for, LR might want to disincentivise their dealers to switching to used at the earliest opportunity. |

Wonder how the halving of the warranty period will affect them being top of the what car used car scheme. Current: RR L322 2010
