I've a similar problem myself ! wiper and washer were both working and I got the usual knock knock knock and the wiper was stopping in the middle of the screen . So I pulled it apart and sure enough the teeth were worn on the white plastic cog

My best guess at this point is the controll chip in the actual motor. Since i couldn't locate any specific relay for this function. But maybe it could be the Body Control Module... As i understand it, this is also a part of the electrics for wiper and washers.. |

Thanks! The thing is I think there's something wrong with the electric. I connected the rear washer pump direct to 12v and it runs fine. But it doesn't respond to "normal" start (pushing the wiper-leaver forward). i.e i can't get a washer signal from the drivers seat to the back off the car... |
