Hi all.
I'm going to remap my 5.0SC L322 (11 plate).
Has anyone had this done, and if so,any have you any recommendations as to where to go to get it done, and what to expect. I'm going to upgrade the air filters as well with K&N. I'd like to get a 10 to 12% increase in power with an increase in torque if possible.
Not too sure about the pulley upgrade yet, as I think a remap will be more than adequate.
I've also read that the gearbox can be remapped. Has anyone any experience of this? Good or bad !

I'm not looking at the economy side of things. You don't with a 5.0 do you !!

we had a K&N in our 07 4.2 SC, caused no end of issues, the oil was coming off and hitting the sensor causing running issues,

if your going to upgrade teh filter go for one that is not oiled, we went back to standard and it runs alot better (well it did till the h/gasket went)

The drop in K&N is also an oiled filter and can cause issues with Air flow sensor 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

Why on earth do you feel you need your 5.0 remapped sir? They are not slow in normal guise... are you sure the thing is running right to start with?

Vanity Sir...pure vanity. Blondie runs and drives and handles and pulls as if it was one day old.
She definitely does NOT need it, but I would like it done so I know that if for whatever reason additional power is called upon, then it won't be found wanting.
Think of it as a boob job...... You don't necessarily have to feel the benefit every day it but it's nice to know you can if you want to...  Tony

I must admit, I want to up the output of mine, however despite no untoward noises thus far, I will probably upgrade the chain tensioners and followers first for peace of mind.

I used to have the 4.2 and loved the power, the 5.0 is immensely impressive, but as it’s my toy I want to see if I can make it breathe fire that’s probably going to be next year though I am trying to move house! Formerly happymadison1978

I am also sorting that too. Fortunately my son is a Merc Technician, so he will be getting that bit done. That will save a bundle. AND be done properly! Then the re-map.

He is very very good to be fair. Unless i'm doing it, I won't let anyone else touch it. He did almost all the work on my previous one. Only thing he couldn't do was have it sit on the company ramp for 2 months !!!! Tony
