Hello...advice please....can't seem to work out how to access the mode on the GAPIIDbt to tell the vehicle that new battery is fitted! Thanks for any info.

It’s in the body control menu....battery replacement

Is this required? What happens if not done?

Reason I ask is getting a new battery today but don't have a GAP tool (I know, I know....)

If you take out the cabin pollen filter ( 2 x 13 mm nuts), then you can move the battery control module out of the way without the need to unplug it.

So far not off to a good start - expected appointment yesterday didn’t happen as battery hadn’t been delivered to store so waiting on the call to tell me when it’s arrived 😂

Can’t make it today as I’m busy so will be at least tomorrow if not Friday before it’s done. Bit of a pain as I wanted it for a trip on Saturday but my current level of trust in the car isn’t particularly high and I wanted a couple of days bedding-in time before a longish drive.
