Yup, that's my preference, to keep the date as it is - I have a CC site all booked up and some time off work for the monday as well. I have asked and there are 2 of the D3 chaps who will do the 10th. But worth noting the offer for the 3rd.

Jem, thanks for that. Just want to keep the thing alive. I'm really looking forward to it 'cos I've never been on Salisbury Plains.

Sorry all, just noticed the reference to LPR helping . By the looks of things it's under control? I hope we'll be there (I'm away that weekend but may be able to get there). If we are able to make it then we'd be happy to bring our nav and recovery kit as backup in case I guide doesn't show.

Right guys, it's getting close to accommodation booking time.............. I've had a look at places around Lopscombe Corner where the tin-tenters are pitching up but most B&B are either closed as it's out of season or already booked up so I have found a Premier Inn at Salisbury not far down the road for Lopscombe Corner - before I book is this anywhere near to the start - I don't really want to have to get up at the crack of dawn to drive 50 miles to get to the start! I'm combining this with a trip to the Big Smoke and LPR either before or after (should I also get the annual service done at the same time and get them to valet the car afterward......... ). Next question tyres.............. car is running the standard 19" Pirelli Scorpions at the moment, but I have a set of 19"MTR's and 19" Winter Tyres 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Guys is this event still going ahead - I have some offroading events up here around the same time and as one involves taking some very sick kids from the local Hospice the we donate our offroading charges to, out on the hills in Argyll I will have to call off if they clash. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

I hope so Tim, I've not kept up with who's organising this since Fox moved on, so who's picked up the reins?

Well, I sort of picked up the reins. Still going ahead and we have some of the local LR boys helping out as group leaders. Have to add though that I know nowt about the area never having been there myself. All I did was organise some people who do know the area well to lead us round in small groups, thus keeping within the various codes of conduct.
