as far as i could see there was no difference in each full fats off road capability which was, very impressive..

Yes indeed Stan. The lack of terrain response didn't seem to hold back the 06 cars and to be truthful it was not used in the 07 Wink (never sure which setting to use - nothing about "dusty old trails" in the handbook)

To be honest, I think they're every bit as capable as a D3, it's just that not many FFRR owners ever find out. They're not quite so "blood and guts" in the general image stakes and the general aura of mud everywhere isn't as acceptable to some FFRR owners. Think Defender to Disco and then the same again for Disco to FFRR.

Would love to do it again though, maybe not quite as long next time. I was bleedin' Hank Marvin when we got back. Smile

Maybe ask the midlands area D3 boys to conjure up something for us to attend ?? Some lovely lanes in the Derbyshire Peaks. Thumbs Up

i just stuck my suspension into high mode and that was it, no low range or hill decent ..i thought that wet grass was the only off roading i would ever do .. Laughing

btw did you notice the admiring [from males] and curious [from females] looks our convoy got when we passed stonehenge in that slow traffic.. ... - .- -.

Oh yes. envious looks from some in their euroboxes, admiring from some of the blokes as if to say "Yep, wish I was doing that" and perplexed looks from a lot of the ladies, almost as if they can't see the enjoyment.

Oh and a very dubious look from the lady in the garage when I asked for a jetwash token. Rolling with laughter

Mind you, the "look of the day" award has to go to those cyclists who got caught in our dust cloud. Priceless. Whistle

Little Dom keeps asking when we can go again. Hmm, rectify the underside first son. Thumbs Up

I missed this event and looking at the posts and photos it sounds like good fun and a chance to meet everyone. Is there another event planned at Salisbury for the summer? Current MY2020
