Brake rotor vibration.

Hi
We installed new rotors since older ones were vibrating but new ones started vibrating just after installation.
What can cause the problem?Hubs?
I never had that problem in 10 years of l322 journey.
3rd one.

Are you sure it is not a sticky/seizing brake caliper ?

Also, brake discs (rotors) are known to be out of balance / even new ones .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Make sure the hub surface is clean when fitting new disks, check the runout using a dial gauge, its amazing how many people dont and then suffer premature failure of the new disks. BMW i3 Electric Car

They were checked before installation
Previous discs were vibrating also so 2 sets of faulty discs is low probabilty

Make sure the face the hub is really clean, wire brush, emery paper, clean with brake cleaner. Fit the new disc (rotor) and measure the runout with the dial gauge. I got mine to less than 0.03 mm but I had several attempts. BMW i3 Electric Car

It's also worth checking the rear discs/calipers as a sticking rear can feel like it's coming from the front.

If a caliper is sticking you should notice extra heat coming from the affected side.
