Having generally poked about in my car for the last few years I haven't come across anything that remotely looks like asbestos, not even the brake pads. Not to say there couldn't be something hidden away but I doubt it.

As a Building Surveyor I know Asbestos use (in all its forms) in the UK Construction Industry was finally banned by legislation in 1999, I believe the legislation also extended to the UK motor manufacturing industry and no doubt other industries which had historically used asbestos products. It seems unlikely therefore that an L322 model RR would have any asbestos components in its construction. |

Only really old cars, classic/veteran cars, may still have asbestos either in the brakes or lagging, this is still permissble, but must be controlled. It also depends on the type of asbestos - it is the spiky one (can't remember the name) that causes the problems. .

You're thinking of Crocidolite, but all asbestos types are harmful.

Have a read of this.. https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/vehicles/imports/asbestos.aspx Looks like if you can prove there is no asbestos used in the car you should be ok. 2007 TDV8 VSE
