Not 100% sure but handbrake off wind back the adjuster remove and replace shoes with new retainers new discs wind up adjuster to lock the brakes on I think something like 40 nm of resistance then back off 8 clicks equalise the the shoes by releasing the Alan bolt opposite the brake adjuster re tighten to I think 6 nm then follow the bedding in process

Thanks for your advise, I feel more relaxed about tackling it now! 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

When I did mine, I’d read somewhere to leave the gearbox in N, EPB off and open the driver’s door; all of which allegedly prevents the EPB from automatically activating.
