Rear Brakes

While doing a pre -MOT check I discovered that the nearside rear assembly was seized in the off position with very little pad contact, while the offside one seemed to be binding.
Took the bus for a quick spin round the block and checked the disk temp with my laser temp tool. The offside one was twice as hot as the nearside one.

I ordered a pair of calipers and 2 carriers (came with new sliding pins) and shims from Dan at Duckworth. Before fitting I painted all the metalwork with one coat of Hammerite Smooth Red.
NB: Calipers are stamped TRW

The brake discs are almost new so didnt need replacing
The old pads still had a lot of material, but decided to replace them with OEM pads bought from a local Main Dealer.
Part Number: LR055454

Bled the rears again. It sailed through the MOT with no advisories. Result Thumbs Up

Cheers Joe,
Got to paint the front ones next, I've got some "Brembo" Stickers to go on as well.

Has anyone covered the stickers with clear lacquer or just left them exposed ??.

Thanks

I just left them when I put new stickers, but I guess lacquering will help (as long as it doesn't "melt" the sticker - might need to test first ?) .
