Aux Coolant pump & Control valves

Has anyone changed these & what the process like?. Hopefully someone with greater knowledge will advise accordingly. Bow down

I've had a quick look & removed the heat shield to one side. It appears that the bracket holding the valves & pump is held on by two M8 nuts.
If I remove these will the assembly pull up & give enough room to clamp the hoses & release the jubilee clips.

Petrol V8 2006 MY. Very Happy

Manged to find one on line. It sits on the LHD side of the engine bay.

Looks like there's another nut holding the bracket on below the assembly.

I replaced mine recently due to max heat drivers side its a bit fiddly but an easy swop out. Just remove the control valves you lose a bit of coolant no biggy just refill with a bottle down the hose you removed from the valve then fit the new one.

Gsxr1250Dave, Did you manage to remove the valves without the bracket. I was intending to clamp the hose to minimize the coolant.
I also have a pump to replace along with the valve setup. Many thanks.

The mounting bracket for the control valves just lift out i also replaced the pump shortly after its only x1 bolt dont bother trying to get clamps in there just lift it all up the hoses are long enuf and flex ok coolant loss is minimal and like i said poor coolant down the hose just before you reconnect it

As I've never had really good heating, I thought I would investigate. Changed the control valves & auxiliary pump, but no great improvement.

Air con works fine on auto & manually when increasing the fan speed. However although the heater does blow out hot air, it's not really hot even though it's set at 28 degrees & appears to be the same as it was before.

Bled the system again, temperature reaches Normal & stays there all day.

Heater matrix pipes are hot & cleaned the temperature auto fan, as it had some dust on it.

Blend flap & all other flaps appear to be working, takes a while to change direction but it will change (passengers foot well not really blowing out that well compared to the drivers side).

Manually turning the fan speed I can obtain full speed (all lights LED lit up). Doesn't sound as high as when it's on Max though.

On Auto With A/C on the temperature is warm & fan speed drops.

Really running out of ideas here, was thinking about changing the FSR, but fan works ok, could look at the steeper motors, but again appear to be working. Am I missing something obvious here? Shocked

Anyone had similar issues. Bow down

Yep, I've even had the vent surround out to make sure that the bowden cable was still in one piece.
Found a wire that wasn't connected to anything when I took out the plenum housing, but it's the feed for a FBH change over valve, that I don't have. Censored

Do you have park heater? I found the seals in my changeover valve had swollen to the point that both paths were blocked. 2006 Supercharged

Gsxr1250dave, This is the issue, it's all new?.

Ian928, No park heater , therefore no change over valve.

Thanks for your thoughts though guys Thumbs Up

You be able to feel the pump running i would start there maybe try flushing the heater matrix out its easy to get to if you remove the phlenum chamber fron the back of the engine
