What size driver do i need on front suspension

Hi Folks Smile

I am going to replace my front air suspension on my 2009 L322 Vogue

As i have the brembo brakes there is a extra damper on the airbag as seen in the attachment. Can anyone tell me what size Torx or Hex driver fits the top of the damper to tighten it

Thanks for your help

I think it's 14mm on mine but would need to check to be sure.

Any ideas how to get the bastard off? It just seems to spin when turned?

There is a thread on here about this somewhere. It is stuck on with adhesive and requires a serious amount of heat then force to release/remove it .

Thanks I’ll try some more searching. I’ll pop down to the local garage and ask them to give it a go with a torch and bigger rattle gun! Does it serve much of a purpose? Is it worth putting it back on?

Mine screwed off by hand with heat, after struggling with it. I believe the workshop manual suggests they shouldn’t be reused Rolling Eyes

I think you end up with noisy brakes if it’s no refitted.

Thanks for that guys.

With the liberal application of heat and an impact gun it’s off! No need for the garage this time!
