JJ PM me the VIN and I will do my best to find out for you. Just need the last 6 numbers from the VIN plate in the corner of the windscreen.

I don't know which mine is on my 58 Vogue SE but it's really not very good. Turning off Logic7 helped but it's still fizzy. The treble's harsh, the bass is woolly and uneven and the mid range seems suppressed. Turning on L7 just makes everything even less defined.

I would suggest something is wrong with your amp. Might be worth unplugging it and spraying the connectors with contact cleaner? Out of interest, how do you turn the L7 off in the newer ones? |

Logic 7 is certainly rubbish in the 2008 cars. Turns off via the screen with which you alter the tone settings. |

On mine the sound always passes through the L7 amp I believe and can't be turned off. There are very few settings to change, this was dissapointing as the DSP amp had lots of settings you could change.

i know and the reasults are not something to boast about they have 'sold' their audio name to a prestige auto marque - most drivers probably listen to radio 4 (i do!) |

sorry Dan but your wrong - you can't talk about stereo bias (stereo being two channel) and then introduce a centre speaker into the equation when listening to AUDIO CD's you would never use a centre speaker - you use 'pure direct' two channel stereo i have a fairly good home cinema system but when listening to music cds all speakers other than front left and right are disabled - the amp allows this 'direct' route |

When you are sat in the front and you have a passenger, their legs will partially obscure the speaker in the footwell etc. So to ensure that you can here perfectly balanced sound - as if both speakers were the same distance from you the centre speaker is utilised.

The Naim Bentley system has been reviewed well by the hi-fi people; as has the B&O system in newer Aston Martins. Last edited by Philip on 6th Dec 2011 10:24am. Edited 1 time in total |

Personally I think most upmarket car brands offer systems that are more than adequate to jo averages ear but will never be good enough to a HIFI aficionado simply because in a car it is not possible to get perfect sound |

I have stnd system in 911 and it's medicre at best. I'd heard (see what I did there?) the upgraded bose is better. |
