Logic 7, 1200 Watt/19 speakers

OK, one year ago I bought the RR 2010 as it was exposed in the showroom. One option I paid for was the Logic 7, 1200 Watt that includes 19 speakers. I only can count 13 of them including the subwoofer. I think I might have the logic 7 that comes standard with 750 Watt... Shocked
Can you guys tell me what to look for in the Logic 7 with 1200 Watt versus the Logic 7 with 750 Watt except the power of course.. Laughing

Thanks guys,

JJ

I think they can count the dual cone speakers twice, also the sub (possibly twice) and the centre speaker?

Even the standard Vogues in 2002 have a centre speaker - thats what the grille in the top of the dash is for...

why the need for a centre speaker unless part of a 5.1 av surround sound

the centre speaker is only used for 'dialogue' (spoken word)

and in a car i cannot fathom out how you would balance a centre speaker?

though to be fair as an av/stereo 'nerd' i've always held the belief that you could not design a WORSE environment for audio than a car Smile

you simply cannot move the volume of air needed and the 'enclosure' of the speakers cannot be effectively isolated etc etc - best left to AV forums Very Happy

but you have to ask why the big names in audio have never ventured into in car systems - and sony/Alpine/Harman Kardon/Bose are not big names when it comes to audio quality

as an aside to the problems of setting up quality audio in a car

i decided to try and set up/calibrate 'in car' using my SPL (sound pressure level) meter

totally impossible - the results were impossible to balance/calibrate - hence why car audio manufacturers go 'stupid' with say 17 speaker systems

the same applies to 'at home' systems - a manufacturer may supply you with a microphone for set up but these are at best a very poor compromise

if any forum member wants to borrow my SPL its there for the taking - very simple to use and full instructions included

Shocked Because when watching DVD's it plays in 5.1.

When in normal mode it mixes left and right slightly, as the cabin is so big and you're not sat dead centre you would get stereo bias from the speaker nearest you, the centre speaker eliminates this.

Dan, if you have 19 does that mean you have the 1200 Watt system?

Just trying to figure out if the original question is being answered Confused

I didnt say I have 19. I've said I count 18 (after edit Razz) - ie in his.

I didn't say I have the 1200 Watt system anywhere above, so not sure why you're saying that.

What I did say is why don't YOU figure out where the last speaker is.

Mine is the 15 Speaker 570Watt 7.1 system.

Sorry Dan I am lost here. How are you counting HIS speakers without being in HIS car he could have either of the two options?

I thought he wanted to know what to look for in the Logic 7 with 1200 Watt versus the Logic 7 with 750 Watt but to be honest I have not got a clue Confused

He was confused about the amount of speakers, only being able to count 13 of them, so I listed their locations.

Now this completely bores me and I won't be replying again. Thumbs Up

EDIT: I will however be editing to correct my spelling mistakes.

What about Linn and Aston Martin? And Naim and bentley?
