Spain 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
New member with RR Vogue in Santorini Black

Dear all,

Like to introduce me as a new member.
Bought a 4.4 TDV8 last November with 161.000kms (185.000 currently).
I live in Belgium and purchased the car in Germany, but originally the RR comes from Romania! Always maintained at a RR dealership and (good for me) without a tow bar Very Happy
The reason for me to purchase this RR are the options:
- Standard Vogue
+ Harman Kardon 1.400watts (or at least enough ....)
+ 360 Camera view
+ DAB
+ TV (and dual view)
+ Adaptive cruiscontrol
+ Blindspot monitoring
+ Fixed sidesteps
+ Shift paddles

In the meantime we did:
- Oil change incl. filter
- Air filter change, were wondering why only one needed to be changed, but due to this forum, we know now!
- Diesel filter change, gained 50hp back that I did not knew I had Thumbs Up
- Front discs (Brembo) and brake pads (TRW), works perfect!
- Rear brake pads and hand brake pads (including springs etc.)
- Cleaned the MAP (very dirty) and MAF (was OK) sensors
- Changed the damper from the tailgate and the rubbers next to the back window (see picture)
- Upgraded the DAB receiver to a DAB+ one, thanks to OldJaguar.com. They have a complete set with bracket, cables and manual, which fits perfectly (not cheap however). DAB+ using the usual screen (see picture)
- New Micheling original JLR tyres
- Mount a new tow bar (see picture)

Things to do
- Remap EGR (get ride of the damn thing)
- Fix the broken "finish" and the damaged sidestep on the right-hand side (finish already purchased)
- Re-install the plastics around the front window. This has been replaced and not correctly installed (they used silicone etc.) to eliminate the noise Cool
- Remove some scratches and a small dent in the front hood
- Repair/change the camera in the front right .....

So still some "improvements" to do, but in the meantime, it runs better with every change we did! It is unreal how fast this "thing" goes and how easy it is to drive. The only challenge are parking garages, that are to narrow or to low. But hey, if that is the only thing ..... RR Vogue, 4.4 TDV8, 10/2010, Santorini Black

Looks good! I'm fairly sure you can't delete the EGR on a 4.4 though Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Hi Bushy30,

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, we have contacted several parties already, all positive about the remap but with different prices. No MOT challenges and will assure I get rid of some "lost power" messages .....
So for me to find the best party to help me with this Smile RR Vogue, 4.4 TDV8, 10/2010, Santorini Black

Hi CAM-TECH-GRAIG,
Thanks, for the reply. Will investigate and take into account! Definitely something to reconsider Idea .

Hi V8Noise,
Correct, we installed it Thumbs Up ! Not an original RR set, but it is removable, new and has the same specs but way cheaper! RR Vogue, 4.4 TDV8, 10/2010, Santorini Black
