Felling a little sore -- bought a swan neck and receiver from a chap on FB -- specifically asked if the keys worked, and behold it arrives and the whole thing is stuck solid -- one key bent in transit, the other key bent already -- managed to straighten them, plenty of penetrating lubricant -- and the key's won't turn.

Upshot is -- does anyone have the receiver and swan neck they'd like to part with.

Just checking you aren't trying to turn the key when its not locked into place - its a safety approach so you can only lock and remove the key when the swan neck is properly fitted. (apologies if you already know this).

Replacement keys are easy to come by - its a 4 digit key code hopefully stamped on one of them starting 2W - I find graphite lock oil is really good on the locks - apply a couple of times a day and I can usually get them to turn in about 24hours - just keep working the key in gently. Mine spend all winter on the cars getting salt and mud in them and I'm not a sorted as I should be on preventatively taking them off and cleaning them. . If you get it off then you need to lubricate the latch at the back and work it slowly - it will free off.

Thanks Nick, I was sold a pup, the back latch was snapped, due to someone hitting the back of the casting so hard it burred over the edge such that the lever wouldn't operate, in short it was FUBAR.

I've got the thing out now, but the amount of rust was unreal!
