Have one fitted, it cost £350 all in. Just make sure that when they fit it it has a relay in the installation, that apparently stops any problems with the gearbox showing any faults.

Yup, that is what the relay should stop, the fault lights usually go after 5 or 6 starts and it does not affect the running at all.

As an alternative I’m having the Meta Track VTS/S5 fitted to mine. It’s CAT 5 plus Thatcham approved. It includes a key fob and app that prevents the RR from starting even if you have the key. This prevents the signal from the key in the house being used to open/start the RR (key cloning).

Thanks for the replies, I’ve spoken to the guys at Kent and going down the ghost option, the meta does look good but I’m so used to hearing stories of the tracker being found in a field and I used to own a metal recyclers yard where we took in a lot of vehicles as well as the main recycling, and often they got pulled apart for spares and you could pull the roof lining down, door rubber off, glove box out or the fuse area in the boot and can detect wires that are not factory in seconds despite how good the foam style type was it always was a little different to the one in the car and follow them to the tracker, albeit saying that mine came with a tracker installed by a previous owner in the dealer paperwork but tracker said they couldn’t find it and did I have the original private plate it was on from new or find the unit and tell them the serial number “bizarrely” and we could activate it.

Fin, I don’t disagree about retro-fitted trackers. Mine has the OEM LR tracker and monitored security system (Remote Control App) already fitted. The main reason for the Meta is not the tracker function but the additional imobiliser that prevents theft via key cloning. Plus an additional level of security that the thief might not expect makes it a bit less nickable. MY23 D350 HSE

Yeah I’ve got an ghost 1 that was previously fitted to a 2014 BMW so I spoke to the guys discussed above and they can fit it for me, but it’s 4 wires so if anyone has the instructions to change the setup from BMW to RR and knows if you need a relay or not give me a shout and I might tinker with it, I obviously know the codes previously used for it and the have the override key where you scratch the panel off for changing it if you forgot it but just not sure on how to change basic setup from BMW to RR I’m aware of the guys at the mustang forum have some details on wiring, basically live, neutral, and can bus high/low connections however not sure if you need to use the relay and do they put it on the fuel pump or something else?
