LR’s stance on hard wiring a dashcam seems inappropriate and I would robustly test their opinion if required. Technically I don’t see any difference between accessing a live feed from the fuse box or a 12v socket, especially if you use a fused device that switches off the dashcam either after a fixed time or when the battery voltage drops below a predefined level. After speaking with a reportable installer they tell me that the main difference is that the II is a unit made by someone else however the software is fundamentally the same, the II can now have 2 mobiles linked to it with two tags if you don’t want the app on your phone.

I too have the LR InControl Tracker App. The Meta Trak is a completely separate and additional system. No problems with it at all. It’s as if it isn’t there. The Meta App is great for monitoring various aspects of the RR including battery voltage. MY23 D350 HSE
