I wish mine had a 100 litre tank, even if the price is heart stopping

I drove the other day for 10 plus minutes after mine went to zero as there was nothing about, my old L322 you could easily go 20 miles let alone 10 minutes after it said — I found when I purposely ran it out.

This has got me wondering what happens if I run out of petrol in my PHEV, but still have a full battery. And what the car's performance would be like. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

I thought I'd set a new record tonight, but after finding this thread realised i had at least a litre to go. I was still showing 20 miles though.

2013 - 2015 L405 sdv8 holds 105 litres same as the L322, post 2015 with the Add Blue tank holds 87 litres, I can only assume to keep the kerb weight the same.

Best practice is to never go below 25% because you inhibit dpf regeneration and we all know what happens next

Playing fuel light bingo with a petrol car wouldn't be too bad, but as diesel dave points out, do this with a diesel car and you could damage the pump(s) and have the hassle of having to bleed the system.

I get the risk of running dry - but the crud in the bottom of the tank is one I've never really understood - same crud, same pickup location on a full tank.... maybe regularly running low keeps things better than doing it once in a blue moon ?
