Dropped the rear seats as flat as they will go, and then loaded the rear with "junk" from our sheds ready for a tip to the tip tomorrow.

Up on the ramp, for oil change. Drainage container emptied and back on the stand for the last bit from the difficult to get to second sump nut...as the last bt dribbles in to container, knock it off the stand and watch as it hts the floor in slow motion. B@ll@cks !! Half a bag of soak it up later, job done. Change every 6 thous and its always like water. |

Finished off three days 'fettling' of the front end - removed the 'orrible headlight grills (they were genuine LR - now in the bin along with the rears), rebuilt side-light units with stainless bolts for easier removal next time, replaced all headlight hardware with new clips and stainless bolts, fitted new air con condenser ready for a re-gas on Monday, fitted new bonnet release cable between the two catches, adjusted bonnet stops and started to give the bonnet a thorough clean with clay bar, G3 compound and paint restorer to remove a lifetime of oxidisation from it. There's actually a really deep silver hidden under the surface contamination! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDv8 |
