car boots sales - any bargains?

shows i'm bored Smile but i'm always interested in any good 'finds' others have made

i go to one every sunday a few miles down the road and held in a farmers field

far too small to attract traders so you get real people selling things

i conservatively reckon i make at least £3K profit per year for 30 minutes on a sunday morning

some things i buy purely on a chance - eg a dirty old coin in a 'rummage' box for 10p - very old greco-roman - sold to a dealer for £350!

a clock made in the shape of a Fender amplifier front panel - bought for £1.50 - sold for £250

a non working but old Rolex bought for £25 - sold for £800

though i did miss a piece of clarice cliff - for sale at £70 and i thought it was a fake - friend bought it and put it through the auctions for a very healthy profit

sadly no range rover or jeep parts Sad

but of late there are a lot of polish guys buying bald tyres!!!!

thanks Greg Smile

i think the bargains are there because its simply too small for traders etc?

there is a hell of a lot of junk - but as they say one mans junk is another mans ....wife Rolling with laughter

a friends wife buys child buggies etc from boot sales - her husband refurbishes them - great profit

if they ate them that would be ok but they put them on cars Evil or Very Mad

a friend is a local cop - they confiscate dozens of eastern European cars - its not worth taking to court as the translation costs are over £150/hour plus translation costs of legal documents into 'whatever' language

anyway, the address is only temporary and they are long gone before a case comes to court Smile
