It has been suggested on other threads that it could be a sticking brake caliper. I did have a "cattle grid" effect on my Td6 which was down to a sticking caliper.

+1 for sticky caliper and probably very worn pads...on that corner .

Thanks gents. That's a really good shout. I don't know why I didn't think of that; I had a similar issue on my previous L322, that was a stuck rear caliper, it got quite bad before we managed to work out what it was and have the callipers rebuilt. Not an expensive job either (for the rears, anyway). I'll certainly pass that on. |

Exactly the same happened to me with my 4.2 SC. Twice. Both instances were rear calipers sticking. Si. <This is my name.

Mine is doing exactly this, although weirdly sometimes it doesn't!

i had the same on my td6 it was a front caliper |

Finally got it sorted yesterday - binding rear calliper! Back to smoothness now, I hope (not really had a chance to test it at the same speeds yet). But I'm pretty confident. 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new.... |
