United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Service menu on digi dash

I’ve just done a search on how to access the greyed out service menu on the 2010 onwards L322 and found a post by Stan saying it will work without the engine running.

I tried this but when I press the OK button on the steering wheel to bring up the menu, nothing happens. On mine it only brings up this menu while the engine is running. The service menu option is greyed out by this point.

Update:
Just found a YouTube video. Apparently the down arrow is pressed not the OK button. Tried this and can access the service menu but it doesn’t show the oil level.

Anyone know how this works? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Mine's an 11MY, but I assume your message centre works the same. If not I'll happily go down in flames

To access the oil level without the engine running and cold is what I think you are attempting.

If you get the oil level inicator showing NOT AVAILALBE I read simply opening the bonnet frst, turning the ignition on then accessing the oil level indicator works. (on mine the level displays simply by the usual button use don't know why yet Question )

OR some have had to do this to get to the oil level indicator,
open the bonnet
turn on the ignition
press the right hand directional button to access the instrument cluster
press the right hand OK button
press the right hand directional button to acess oil level display
press the right hand OK button and follow the instructions
press the Cruise Control button twice within 2 seconds
You should get the normal display, navigate as usual.

To get back to the normal display, press and hold the cruise control cancel button for more than 2 seconds.

hope it helps Cheers
Richard

I can access the service menu but there is no oil level display. Just the VIN number. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Sorry that didn't help. I wonder if it may be a software choice is switched off, that's above my pay grade.

I'm likely doing an oil change in the morning and I'll have a look online, or perhaps the IID may have something. Cheers

It`s a bit of a faff to get it right after an oil change check what you take out, put back about 8ltr start the engine for a couple of seconds then wait for about 20min check again it`s a right pain in the Censored

Ah that'd be why - I believe yours has a dipstick.
The electronic dipstick relates to the 4.4

My guess, if my understanding is correct about the 3.6 having a conventional dipstick, is that the oil service menu was put in preemptively for the 4.4. And greyed out for the 3.6.

Don't be too jealous, most of us doing own 4.4 oil changes would prefer a stick.

.

. Cheers, Greg
