I’ve just done a search on how to access the greyed out service menu on the 2010 onwards L322 and found a post by Stan saying it will work without the engine running.

I can access the service menu but there is no oil level display. Just the VIN number. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Sorry that didn't help. I wonder if it may be a software choice is switched off, that's above my pay grade.

It`s a bit of a faff to get it right after an oil change check what you take out, put back about 8ltr start the engine for a couple of seconds then wait for about 20min check again it`s a right pain in the |

My guess, if my understanding is correct about the 3.6 having a conventional dipstick, is that the oil service menu was put in preemptively for the 4.4. And greyed out for the 3.6.
