Suspension Fault L405 2013-2017??

A post on You Tube in last 4 weeks:
Range Rover L405 Suspension Fault.

Vehicle range 2013-2017.
TB issued 27.July 2018. LTB00557V10
VIN 000001-380216

Replace parts: Front Stabilizer Actuator, Stabilizer Bar, Dynamic Response Valve Block, Upper Control Arms.

Headine is: What Land Rover Doesn't Want You To Know 1/2 Million Affected Solihull Vehicles.

The YT Video is 1min 50 seconds and left hand drive 405. All above spelling is from the Video and could be USA??

Is this true??? Someone please advise if TB is real and correct. Bow down

Thank you for confirming this TB.

Had various Land Rovers for past 35 years and enjoyed them.
First L405 (Jan. 2014) SDV8 was a most uncomfortable ride quality even on decent roads.
After several Dealer visits and no improvement or solution found, I complained and eventually a deal was done and another new 405 replaced it Aug. 2015.

Now I am again experiencing a deterioration in ride quality and 'clunking' from the front suspension.
Looks like I will have to go through the process yet again. Big Cry

Re: Suspension Fault L405 2013-2017??

Sure is true as its my video, Land Rover ES (Spain) and C.de Salamanca (Land Rover Approved Dealer) are refusing to warrant the repair, they have even gone as far as denying my claim, their words "Has we have informed you on our last email sent on 15th March, your case have been analysed by C.de Salamanca and one technician from Jaguar Land Rover, concluding that your vehicle’s performance is normal. So, there is no further action to be done to your vehicle related to your claim on your last email." C.de Salamanca simply replaced the Lower Control Arms to try and hide the main fault which is the (Valve Block) Incorrect Operation of the Dynamic Response Actuator (Hydraulic Valve Block). INCORRECT DAMPENING OF FRONT SUSPENSION.

Im having to take the dealer to Court to have this resolved.

PLEASE COMMENT ON MY VIDEO DIRECTED TO LAND ROVER ES & C.de SALAMANCA

I have been sold a vehicle that is not fit for purpose.

It's taken me a long time to investigate this manufactures fault at first I thought the car had been involved in an accident.

Heres the video : I NEED AS MUCH EXPOSURE AS I CAN GET.

Well done and well presented. Thumbs Up

Have you considered sending your video direct to Solihull Tech. Dept.?

The TB clearly confirms the fault issue in question, which you, me
and others have and still experience.

Your Dealer has been instructed what to do by the TB, in order to rectify and resolve the matter in an amicable manner.

JLR do value customers, but some dealers see things in another way.

I will soon contact my Dealer on this matter, after trying a few things out.

I'm sure we all have better things to do in life than spend a chunk of money on something that fails expectation.

mattlidster, thank you for this link.

Invaluable information.

From 2013 to 2017 is a lot of vehicles and £'s, $'s, etc for JLR as already stated in the excellent video.

Somewhat disappointed that the so called 'Magic carpet ride' has become the magic knocking noise.

Mine goes back AGAIN in a couple of weeks.

First time they acknowledge the sound, changed some bushes and drop linkages. - made no difference to the sound (but road holding felt better). Went in a second time now they claim they can't hear anything. Censored Big Cry

So many reports of this issue and so many varied responses from dealerships ranging from - yes sir we know what that is and will fix it, to - thats normal sir for this car, to - its not covered on warranty because it's normal wear and tear, to - we can't hear anything sir.

No consistency despite the TB - it's so frustrating.

I have a 17 year old Audi that is pretty much held together by it's rust and it is a much quieter ride over rough surfaces (suspension wise). Razz

Just been told - warranty are refusing to pay and they suggest taking it up with Landrover CRC. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad To use their words "...rejected due to an inherent fault"

see my other thread for closure.

I am about to have my 6 months statutory & JLR warranty expire.

From purchase, I complained about front suspension noise.

I have rattling noise only when cold and when driving over corrugations (rocks and roots) in an off road situation

after 3 visits the dealer service manager could only tell me was nothing is worn and nothing can be done and there is no road where he can test for that noise.....

when i discovered bulletin LTB00557v10 and told him about it, he sent me an email stating that my next service appointment was cancelled and that i need to take the truck to another dealer.....

I lodged a complaint with CRC - they have promised to fix it....

will now have to see see how they fix it?

probably best that I find another dealer to do the work even though it will mean driving 500 km and not 300 km...
