I used some stuff by Renovo on my Mini - seemed to do the trick

Another vote here for renovo, just make sure you are thorough on the cleaning stage. When you use the Renovo make sure you wipe runs off paintwork quickly, can be a bit of a pain once it has dried. 4.2SC; 1960 TR6; XF Sportbrake

I had a Mini that needed doing and used some Milton sterilising tablets with a brush to agitate the dirt |

+1 for the renovo but only the staining and water proving stages. I found renovo cleaner a waste of time. SWMBO 6 series had a lot of algae which had baked hard. Only a decent citrus cleaner could cope with that and it took several attempts. I resorted to soaking it in citrus cleaner and covering with cling film. left if for a couple of hours then jet washed hard. it did the trick.
