Rolling with laughter

You are on form today mate....

Phil - I suspect the only neat way is to get a new one with the glue already on it. Not sure what aftermarket glue would do the job as well. Ash

I would say the correct way is to replace the whole badge but if it was mine, I would clean up where the letter was on the car and the adhesive behind the badge itself,, then apply some body adhesive tape of the same thickness to the back of the badge, then use a sharp knife to trim it before re applying it.

You will probably still have a very faint outline on the paint to line the badge back up.

Just take your time and don't rush. You can buy the body tape from most good motor factors, something like 3M body and trim. Reformed

I used number plate double sided from halfords when i pinged mine off. Clean out the old, place over the new then use a craft knife to trim using the lip as a guide. (if you turn it over you'll understand what i mean) Affix on the sun stained spot and job done. Ian

If you buy the full set of letters they are mounted on a card that is preformed/cut to make positioning correct on the production line. IIRC forum sponsor DCC 4x4 sells the letter sets 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
