As Bullit says, read the buyers guide, then I would suggest looking at the threads on the items in it. Don't be put off by it appearing that everyone has problems, it's what we do It would be awfully boring on here if we all went on about the cars being faultless. When yours finds you, it's going to be difficult to say no, and if you enjoy working on your cars there's real in depth knowledge about on here, freely given.

Thanks for welcomes i have had classic Range Rover and discovery’s and jeeps for years I’m hgv engineer so not easily put off and used to air systems, I don’t need l322 but I want one I have read all horror stories and still keen when did Dpf ‘s start to be fitted, my head says I nice td6 would fit the bill but heart says nice v8

The TDV8 11MY, on sale from October 2010 had DPFs as standard.

Can't help with the earlier ones I'm afraid, other than they were available as options on some models.

If your budget runs to it, the TDV8 11MY is a great machine, but I'm biased and lucky enough to have one. Cheers
