2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
Back in an L322 - 2010 TDV8 3.6

Hi all,
After an eight year hiatus, I am happy to be back in an L322. Picked up a very well priced car from a friend with 63k miles on the clock, 2 previous owners and full main dealer history and maintenance file. Looking back it's had some money spent on it - £1500 this year for new EGR valves, £3k last January with new front rear suspension arms, new CV boots and new rear dampers, £2k the year before for new front upper suspension arms, rear brake hoses and front pads, £1500 the year before that on various bits and £1500 the year before that on a new steering rack!

I had the car inspected by Rovertune who gave it a clean bill of health bar needing new wheel nuts and potentially a battery soon, plus the big fluid changes when it reaches 10 years old or 75k miles next year.

I actually though the car was black (and still think it looks black TBH!) but the V5C says 'Brown' and the VIN spec printout I have says it is Bourneville with Parchment interior.

As it's an early facelift car, it had the new style grille and headlights but the three gills in the side, so I plan to change those to the 2010 onwards grilles and fit some deployable side steps as my youngest struggles to get in! Also will fit a towbar so I can fit my bike rack. There's also a little ding in the rear bumper and I am pleased I have discovered that it's Bourneville coloured as I was on the lookout for a black replacement bumper!

It's a lovely place to be and I think they have aged so well - running costs aside, I cannot think of a better value car on the road right now and am looking forward to wafting around this year.

It's proved it's versatility several times so far as I am in the middle of a house build project and can confirm that 3m lengths of timber or trunking will fit in easily with the rear armrest folded down and blankets to protect the seats and dashboard! It also carried 10 x 25kgs bags of sand and cement without breaking into a sweat (unlike me lugging them in!). Out of interest, is there a max payload it's safe/legal to carry in the boot?
