Hi Jakes

The difference is, mine isn’t under warranty so any repairs needed will cost me. I would be p@@sed off in your position though.

Thanks Andy, Yes I negotiated a full 5 year factory warranty and am naive enough to think that the small print won't get me that's if I keep it for the 5 years. I am so p**s*d off. In fact have gone through a full set of emotions (1st world problem I know) anger, disbelief, sad and now just a bit numb. Not sure what to do other than hope things get fixed.

My complete sympathy that you have to pay especially since you took all the precautions pre-buying to buy what you hoped would be a somewhat reliable product.

Good luck. I will post here what they find wrong with mine. I find out in a few hours... but ... somehow I feel this is the start of a long unreliable exasperating journey. The crushing depreciation in years 1 and 2 would preclude me from an alternative. What makes me so angry in particular was that this was a 60th birthday treat for my wife (a hard working nurse) and I (now that our kids have grown up and gone) to travel around this wonderful country in comfort. It was six years of saving up.....

Update: JLR Service replaced the MAF Sensor yesterday due to a list of fault codes stored. I am now driving it around and all ok so far ....

Hi Andy, make sure you thoroughly check the turbo hoses, as you look in the engine bay the right hand one splits on the underneith behind the webbing and you can't see it with out removing the hose. Your whoop whoop could be a sticking brake, after a drive then see if one wheel is getting hotter than the others. And good luck.

Andy, sorry you are not enjoying purchase. my first vogue was never out of garage for one thing or another. however i stuck with it and worked out issues and absolutely loved it and ridiculously i have since bought another 2 - what do they say about madness?? That said the other 2 have been great so hang in there!

Re wheels are you getting any vibration through your seat? I had this on my 405 when i bought it and turns out both rear wheels were buckled slightly. Taken to a specialist who unbuckled and fine now. Have you tried another set of rims on it to rule out whether it is a wheel/tyre issue? I would have happily let you try my set of 22s to see if that cured but you are a bit far away

Hope you get sorted Thumbs Up L405 4.4 SDV8 Santorini/Black VSE
