Anyone else been so lucky ?

I bought a new L322 TD6 Vogue back in 2004 and can honestly say in 14 years of ownership absolutely nothing went wrong with the car. It had one recall regarding a front propshaft issue but other than that the only items replaced outside of routine servicing were tyres and wiper blades. The car was parked outside all it's life and the original battery lasted 12 years. I sold it six months ago after buying a used L405 and managed to get 12k for it. Admittedly It had only covered 41 k miles, but surely this is proof that not all LR's are unreliable as the ravages of time take their toll as well as mileage. That said, I don't think my my L405 will be such an easy ride !

I had a 2004 TD6 which I ran for 7 years, apart from 2 batteries and routine maintenance was a reliable car. 2004 TD6 - Gone

Similar car to the OP, i had my 2004 TD6 for 12yrs apart from a battery it never let me down once, front prop done under warranty and loads of servicing ( the service book was full at 165,000m when i sold it ) if my current Westie does anywhere near the same i will have been very lucky indeed.
