Thanks James,

Sounds similar to what may be causing my issues. The car is currently in the garage. Still awaiting an update but they've apparently found where the oil is leaking and currently changing seals/ components. I hope its this same leaks between the DPF sensors and they are aware of the turbo drain mod.
The car is still under warranty from the dealer I bought it from so no cost to me but hoping the garage they use know their stuff otherwise it could be an ongoing issue.

exh gas leak i had between the sensors, no oil down there. or shouldnt be! Cheers

You'd really need not just a Land Rover specialist but a 4.4TDV8 expert to sort. I know it's under warranty and somewhat not your problem just as long as it's sorted but these issues are so specific, I'd give them a limited chance of sorting (without repeat visits and you not having the car for extended periods) - or they may 'say' it's fixed but not really.

Also one to watch with dealer warranty fixes is that they can sometime be reluctant to provide full details in writing as the contract to repair is not with you, it's with the dealer or warranty company. I'd just push for copies of the invoices or if they don't want to give those over then the worksheets.

mine went to a specialist rather than dealer. dealer failed to sort it the previous time. Cheers
