Don, low millage cars can be worse for oil degradation in certain circumstances sir... Ive just changed mine, a year early as i believe firmly in preventative maintenance!

Just had ours done and had to insist the full service was done, dealer was quite happy to just do the £500 oil and filter service and not do dynamic response fluid, transfer box and rear diff oils Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Just had my 5th annual service carried out by my local Land Rover specialist. The car has been maintained by the supplying/franchised dealer previously, but when they quoted over £600 for this interim service, I decided to look elsewhere.

Sorry about hijacking this post but I'm in a similar boat, just bought my RR knowing it had a minor service due. It has full service history, initially LR then more recently by Les Potts, a local independent. It's now due the 90k/6th service which is a minor service. Les Potts quote around £400. North Eastern 4x4 would be £205 for the same, my question is are they offering the same service? e.g. will the LR held service record be updated by NE 4x4 in the same was as Les Potts has been? |

£890 sounds about right for the proper LR service which includes the dynamic response fluid the actual bottle and transfer box / rear diff oils... not sure i would skip the transfer and diff oils personally, I paid MD but I think I’d rather go independent than not have them done on the basic service. Our MD actually quoted the fixed pricing first off, we had to query the additional items which was a little odd.
