I wouldn't worry too much about accuracy of fit with aftermarket steps, with considered use of 8mm ss washers it is quite easy to overcome any inaccuracies. I fitted a pair and found that although not fully accurate they are surprisingly adjustable such that a well aligned fit can be achieved without too much trouble. |

Hi niceday, does this apply to all the kits for sale on eBay? Some are £130-ish, some are nearer £300, and in the pictures I can't see any difference! |

I have a feeling most eBay side steps will need a degree of adjustment to fit absolutely true. I got my set from eBay and there is really nothing wrong with them, certainly do the job, I stand on them regularly.

Haha, didn't find out about the "washers" until I'd fitted the step and it was about an inch lower than the fitting to sit in with the mudguard lol. Off to B&Q for 20 washers, and an hour or so later, 6 washers on the front and it was level. Would suggest getting a 40 / 45mm M8 to accomodate the extra washers (if you don't already have a long bolt) |
