Diagnosis in. Oil cooler gaskets (I was dreading it might have been a turbo )

The code is: P040D-00 (2F) Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor A - circuit high

If you are getting that error code it's a probe (sensor) around £75.

Looks like it’s chepaer and easier to get a main dealer to change out the NS sensor.....who’d have thought that Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

EGRs not being replaced. A vacuum pipe was found to be disconnected which probably threw up the intermittent EGR fault error codes on the diagnostic.....

Steve what was your main oil cooler leak? Cooler itself or gasket? How did it show up on the car (i.e where did you see the oil)? Did you fix it yourself and if so how difficult was it? What age and mileage is your FF?
