I think I've solved the problem.!!!!

Not sure if I had "Data Roaming" on before on my iPhone, but I went on a forum and the poster on there who had the same problem in the USA said he got connectivity back by reinserting the simcard when in the "Connectivity" menu in the car and turned "Data Roaming" ON, on his phone.

Hey presto, all works now and camera works too (think that might be coincidence as no way does the simcard have anything to do with the rear camera surely????)

Anyway, car back to normal!! Happy Christmas!!  All LR cars from 1984

I noticed from your photo that your phone battery status was showing but no signal bars - it struck me when I posted previously that this was possibly a problem with the software getting confused on connection to your phone, and adopting phone screen resolution, hence the small screen icons. This could also be why the cameras didn't work, as that resolution was not compatible with the camera's profile.

Anyway, glad you've solved the problem, and our overall knowledge base for problem resolution has been increased!

The whole apple carplay interface is poor, slow, clunky, some buttons don't work in some apps eg waze, hard to get back to the LR satnav etc etc. I have given the feedback to LR so hopefully some of this will get fixed with the next update.
Still, at least we have got carplay now!

The day will come when they will deliver these updates automatically via the cars 4G card!

At the moment all is well with Carplay, although a bit slow on start up. It's as if the car needs to warm up as when I restart the car after a journey the Carplay is virtually instantaneous.

My latest problem is the soft close on the driver's door isn't working! Anyway, going in to dealer next week. All LR cars from 1984

I have apple car play one one of my other cars. I turned it off as it was a pain.

My drivers door soft close mechanism occasionally plays up but will always be perfect if I ever took it back to the dealer to demonstrate the problem. It's a pain when it happens as you can't really drive off, just have to keep swearing at it till it obeys.
